While I was in Louisiana over the past two weeks I discovered this band. Anyone else like them? The CD is way better quality than this video sound wise. The guitar reminds me of cake, weezer and some other cool bands like Beck. The trumpet is definitely cake-ish, whic as you all know I love. The drums are cool and raw sounding. It's sort of talking/rap, but not hip-hop. I am starting to like this band. I like a lot of different styles in case you are all thinking I'm schizo.

They're pretty good. Im not the biggest fan of the rock/rap combo but they do it well and have a fresh approach to it with the combination of the different styles being meshed together.

Hes from Canada, in some of his stuff he uses a lot of traditional instruments, and just in general a lot of different influences to create some great music that is considered to be hip hop but he's so much more then that. I would compare him to Beck and Tom Waits as well. A great story teller and musician.
