Here's my buddy, Bill Patrick, playing "Ain't Misbehavin'." As you will see, Bill has the touch and the tone. He's a great player and he has several tunes on youtube if you care to search them out. They are all outstanding.
Thanks,
Richard

I have nearly all of Bill's performances in my favorites at YouTube. He is one of my favorite pickers, along with yourself. I'm still trying to be a fingerpicker, but I have yet to master the art in the manner you and Bill have. I really admire your ability.
I also like Ludwig Boeckmann on YouTube. I believe you will enjoy him too if you've not heard him before. I've included a link of one of my favorite tunes by him.
Both of these were great. Thanks, Bear, for the Boeckmann. I hadn't heard him before.
They were great, thanks ! I wish i could get to grips with a thumbpick, but i play all sorts fo style's so its hard to jump between the flat and thumb pick.
Of course ,i'm no where near this level of ability. On Bill's other video You're Just In Love ,i play the two tunes at once bit completely differently! But i'm just an ear player like i've said before ,so these videos are really good as i'm able to actually see what's going on . I find i'm always in the wrong postion and have to learn it again!

This guy ain't too bad either... Richard Hudson - "Baby's Coming Home"
I see Bill wears his phones with the cable down the back like I do when I wear cans! Better to have them fall off behind a person than on the fiddle!!
...don't tell him, but if those are Bose...he can do much better for much less money! I really like my Alessandro phones...he makes darn nice guitar amps too, so guitars sound really great! My lighter MS-1 are great for practicing guitar work, but my much heavier MS2i are even more fun for listening to the real Pros, like I just did!
Gotta admit though; you and your Buddy Bill are closing in on National Treasure Status!
Good stuff Y'all!
There is an online pickers room that is provided by the Texas Fingerstyle Guitar Association. I used to go in there quite a bit and listen to all the good pickers from all over the world; and sometimes do a little picking myself. That's where I first heard Bill Patrick play. It just took a couple of notes until I knew that he had a special touch. Youtube has been a Godsend for Bill because he doesn't like to play in front of a crowd, but with Youtube, he just plays for the camera. Perfect setup for him. He's a great player and extremely modest about his abilities. Seems like those guys from Tennessee and Kentucky know how to lay that thumb in there the right way.
I appreciate all the good comments. Bill is a good guy.
Thanks,
Richard
