hey guys. I'm going to switch to a bar bridge I think. Are there. 2 different sizes. Als, am I right in assuming that it will drop into my existing base? Thanks
What size bar bridge for my Falcon?

stevesingh, I believe there is only one standard size. It comes with the base, so all you do is loosen strings, slide new bridge in, set the intonation and you are ready.

Unless you're talking about Tru-Arcs. They come in 12" and 9.5" radius and do not have bases.
Your Falcon is 12", and the Tru-Arc will drop right on your existing base. You get to choose brass, stainless, or aluminum.

I like my Tru-Arc bar bridge. It lets me have closer action across all strings because the arc matches the arc of the guitar's neck.

I just installed a Tru-Arc (AL120) on my Falcon, and I can't be happier.
To my ears, the aluminum really "let things out" compared to the brass Gretsch bar that I had on it.
It's playability was good before, but now it's as good as ANY guitar that I've ever played.
The 12" radius Tru-Arc matches the neck radius better, and the "better" playability is because of this bridge.
Well worth the $$$ IMO. Tone that I like better, and she plays like butter

I guess then, that Gretsch's own Ebony-Based "Rocking" Bar Bridge and Tru-Arc are not one and the same?! Aluminium vs. brass? Would many of you advocate swapping for it on G6136DC?
