What color should my BillyBo be?

  4. There is nothing I hate more than doing something twice that is so mind numbing as painting. Couple that with the second job is never as good as the first one. To contradict that statement, the first job was rushed so there was some dieback and rough edges. What I think is lost is how much work that goes into a lacquer paint job. Several hours of hand sanding, intricate taping and potentially a million things that can go wrong. All in all it came out okay and as long as the owner is happy I'm good and each guitar is a learning experience. What did I learn you say, never ever and I mean never will I paint anything again with out the guitars owner picking a specific, not a color name, color by number. Keep in mind I have over 300,000 colors to pick from.

    EDIT: actually something did go wrong, some blood ended up under the clear that I had to re-sand a section, color and clear. Blood, yep hand split and cracked from wetsanding.
