Daddy-O said: "Pete I hope you by strings by the case."
Actually I just use 1 set at a time and rotate that set through all my guitars. In the pic I posted it just looks like all the guitars have strings. Its really just the marvel of time-lapse photography.
superbadj said: "Plectrum Pete: uh, why are the colors on your 6118 Annie reversed?"
It was a special run, I think by Fuller Guitars in Texas. I bought it off ebay.
sroux said: "Hey Pete...is that an Oud or a lute??
It's an oud. I arranged for a guy named Nasser Nasser to make me one when I was in Israel 20 years ago. When he came to my hotel with his wife to deliver the oud he must have thought I was rich because he asked me to help him move to the US (I was there with my parents who paid for the trip- I don't remember if I even had a job at that time).
"Nice Coral sitar!"
The electric sitar does look just like a Coral but its actually a cheap Rogue. It's aight, but it's no Jerry Jones.

Gretschaholic, your new DSW is gorgeous. The Western motif is slowly beginning to grow on me. I love the engraved block inlays.
Stuartm, you have to host your pictures on a photo sharing site like photobucket or imageshack and post the URL.

You're welcome Stuartm. I like those early Japanese Epiphones. They caught a lot of flak when they first came out, but they were nice guitars. I had one of the Japanese solid basses. I used it for years through a big Kustom bass amp.

Hey Stuartm!
I've got one of those too! You don't see them very often. But they are pretty underrated IMHO. The pickups are smokin' in mine! Mine is a 1970 model, and actually has the model number 5102-T, this model number was used from 1970 to 1972, at which point Epiphone re-designated it as the EA-250.
+1 to you

Just Dropped In said: I've not been able to find out anything about it other than some guy from the northeast may have contracted the line from a Japan builder. The trem unit appears to be the same used by Aria years ago (thanks Zak!), perhaps dating the guitar from the late '60s.
the Fandels were actually built by Aria, or, as it was known in those days, "Aria-Diamond". That's an original Aria-Diamond design, one of their first electric models, and it's actually older than you think. The design dates back to 1966, and they were made up to 1969.

Sep 4, 2008 6:19 p.m. tartan phantom:
the pickups in my Epi are the original stock pickups. No particular designation, they are humbuckers with black plastic/bakelite covers. These guitars were made by Matsumoku, and the pickups were used in several Matsumoku-made brands. They're slightly larger than a P-90, and to my ears, they sound ALOT like P-90's even though they are humbuckers!

Thanks for the info tartan, every little bit helps. I believe the 'Fandel' name may be associated with a company once called "Harris-Fandel" out of Massachusetts. They were into imports, so maybe they were hooked up with Aria.

I have a right old mind to call you all a rather long string of names for hoarding all the good stuff, I mean how can I sit here with the single Electro while all of you are showing off your multiples...?
It's downright disgraceful it is, and yet I can't look away... Time to count the pennies again :D
To all that have posted, thanks :D

I thought I'd posted in this before but going through the posts I realise that I haven't. So, here are my guitars.
These are the ones that get played. Not in shot is a Tanglewood TW28ST and a no-name piece of crap mandolin which I can't play.
Left to right is a HWY1 Fender Telecaster 2007, next is an Eastwood Airline Town & Country, Gretsch Duo Jet Firebird 2006, HWY1 Fender Stratocaster (modded with Callaham s model bridge assembly and trem) 2003, and finally a Tanglewood TW39.

Hi tartan phantom & MarkW, My pickups sound the same as you have. I bought this some years ago on the well-know auction site because it looked like the Hofner Verithin that I had in the '60's and that seem to be rare to find these days. This has a nicer action I think. I will have to save up for a Gretsch
