I have used GHS Boomer 11's on my 6128T-57 since I bought it 13 years ago.

I use 11s on my 6131 but sometimes find that they can be a bit tough to bend. I run 11s on my 5129 but that's a breeze... go figure.

I like 10's on my Duo Jet and Falcon, but I like 11's on my 6120

I have 11s on my DuoJet and they are much better than 10s - more control on my bends and in general just seem to bring the guitar to life more than 10s do. Make the change - you won't regret it.

Hmm, well my 6128TDS doesn't arrive for a couple of months now, but am planning on using T-I Super Bright 10s on it. Got 11s on the Double Annie, and that too will be dropping down probably as well.
Now the various strats I've owned (including the beautiful wine red (stain) & gold model I got in early '09) all love GHS Boomer 9s.
But I'm wanting to consolidate to just one brand of string for everything. Switched to T-I JF for the RIC bass last year, and have been extremely pleased with the results. Best strings I've ever put on it since ordering it from the factory in '85!
So that's sort of sold me on T-I quality, and their reputation is steller.
The 5122 has one of the freebie sets of Gretsch 11s on there, and has been alright (nothing to write home about). So I think 10s should give it better results.

My 6128TDS came with Chromes on it; it's amazing I could get any tone out of the thing with those poor, abused metal spaghetti strings.
I put my last, treasured set of Pyramid 11 flats on it, and damn if it didn't just sound like a whole new -- and even more lovely -- guitar. I've got a long & varied clip of the guitar here, but I'm likely to put together another, shorter one tonight.
The only thing that's bugging me is that the G has a really strong first harmonic (I think -- sounds like an octave over the fretted note) that can compete unfavorably with the fundamental. I seem to recall having a similar problem with a wound G on my previous attempt with a Dyna Jet, but that was quite a few brain cycles ago.
It inhibits bending somewhat, but I can slide like nobody's bidness & I've got a wiggle stick for any additional frequency modulation that might be required.

I've been using Gibson Vintage Reissue Pure Nickel 10-46's on my 6128TDS and have been happy with them both sonically and quality wise. I really prefer the tone of pure nickel wound strings on guitars with single coil pu's. I also have an unopened pack of Gibson Les Paul Pure Nickels in 10-46 that I'm gonna put on one of these days. The LP's are similar to the Vintage Reissues but have a red silk wrap at the ball end which is supposed to make them "smoother" sounding. My Power Tenny is strung with GHS Boomers 10-46 mainly because I have a bunch of packs I want to use up. I do prefer the Boomers to D'Addario XL 110's which I found to have some consistancy issues. I tried 11's a couple of times on the Power Tenny but found they did not work well with the hotter and more mid rangy TVJ Powertron....the 10's had more sparkle and twang. I also think you can get away with 10's on Trestle Braced Gretsches because they react to string vibrations more like a semi hollow.

I've got .012 Flats on my Roundup. I usually use .011's, but the .012's seem to work better with the Melita bridge.

I run 11-54 at the moment. I'll soon be going to a custom gauge of 11-56. Heavier is always better... Always.

I use flatwound .011's on my duo jet. I was having trouble with it staying in tune yntil I put the heavier strings on.
I love them... have them on most everything..
BTW: I want to throw a shout-out to Joe C...
If you remember, the neck pickup on my duo jet (6128tcg) died and Joe was on it in a heartbeat...
It still is singing like it should and two more Gretsch guitars have entered the stable since then because of that. Joe, you da man..
