Why aren't the flat tops listed? Lovely collection.
I'd suspect they're not listing with the banjos, mandos, ukes, etc because while the flattops are part of the roots collection, this ad campaign is focusing on the revival/re-introduction of the older folk instruments that have been long out of production.
The flattops have been listed on the website for a while now though.

Hmmm, that 6-string banjo, and that round neck dobro sure are GAS worthy to me!

Actually the flat-tops aren't technically part of the Roots Collection...they're a separate thing. The flattops take their design cues from Gretsch acoustics circa 1939 and later, with the triangle sound holes, while the Roots Collection takes inspiration from a slightly earlier era.
In terms of the development of the two lines, Mike Lewis took primary responsibility for the Roots Collection; the flattops are more Joe's babies. It was "synergistic" that they introduced around the same time, but they're at least slightly separate lines...

They're not quite on the streets yet, but several places are taking pre-orders. Delivery is expected some time in July.

I was thinking about bringing my 1954 Gretsch baritone Uke (spruce top) to the KC Round-up last weekend to show Joe C. Best I can tell there was only a single batch of them made (maybe 25 total?). I decided to bring a couple more popular guitars instead.
