I'd been working like a dog for several months before and after my company moved locations (and data centers)
had a visit with the VP today and recieved a check for a good amount of coin...now the problem...
been looking for a proline gretsch but with this amount of cash I can pretty much have my pick...my brain is hurting already...

I've thought about it plenty, but now that I actually have the means it's alot harder than I thought...
I am probably not going with single coils...
I am leaning towards a Falcon with TVs, but I am not sure if I want Lacquer or not...
I also thought about an Annie with TVs, but the other day I played a SSLVO and it was sweet!
I've got several years of GAS threatening to erupt in an explosion of monster proportions...the lava flow will be significant!
My advice ... get 2!
Seriously. You're going to need a Jet style. And a hollowbody, of course. Dynas vs. Filters. You can pick up a couple of used ones for a decent price and be set.
I have my Duo Jet and am already lusting after something else. This is a worse addiction than Telecasters. Seriously.
A Falcon has never turned my crank, I played one that was made before FMIC took over, I just don't like white guitars. I'd much rather have a DSW, 6122 of most any flavor or even a Tennessee Rose and that's what I have. I'd like to play a Duo Jet with Dyna's and a Country Club someday as well.
I have thought about two...I have a pro Jet and am pretty happy with it, but i thought I might be able to get an Annie or a 6120 and a Corvette...maybe i'm just getting greedy...
I'm kind of liking my 6120W 1957 Reissue (unofficial Eddie Cochran model)with the P-90 in the neck and the DynaSonic in the bridge. Can go from a Gibson sound to a Gretsch with the flip of a switch and it's got lots of good old Twang!

Yeah I know my Mr Zimmerman, and I saw 'Don't look back' several times. What a documentary that is.... I can't up you for your Lincoln quote, because I did that already, probably for one of your fun live postings.... but that quote was pretty fitting for the moment.

Yarr I'm a fairly huge Dylan fan myself, his 60's stuff mostly, and from 'Bob Dylan' to 'Blonde On Blonde' to narrow it down further.. though his latest stuff has been great too!
Yeah, I was brought up on revolver by the beatles, several Woody guthrie and Dylans: Freewheeling, bringing it all back home, times they are a changing, another side and highway 61. The rest I had to get myself later on in life.... I still really love listening to Blonde on Blonde and every now and then I have to put on Song to Woody. I haven't really followed his more recent stuff but his biography was great.
