G6129T Silver Jet Vs G6129T Players Edition Jet-Color Difference?

1

Hi, Does anyone know if the Silver color on these 2- 6129T's is the same? On the Gretsch website the G6129T Players Edition's Top looks like a light Silver color and the regular Vintage style G6129T Jet seems to have a darker silver color. Is that correct or is it just the way they took the pictures and I have not seen any side by side at a store? thanks Steve

Since they are both pro-lines, I would think that the tops are the same. Photography is about lighting, not truth.

After my red sparkle, the sliver ones look anaemic!

Haven't seen them side by side, but it may be that one has the tinted/aged clear coat and the other doesn't.

5

OK that may be I did not know Gretsch had 2 different clear coats they used...thanks

Can I have that guitar? (Or, as Obi Wan might put it, this is not the red sparkle Jet you're looking for.)

Boo! Now my Silver Jet looks pale.

8

I believe we should prefer to think the red is just awfully showy, don't you?

Perhaps, but I’d trade in a flash.

Goodness gracious, those red sparkle jets are stunning, aren't they?
