Greetings from the 31st Annual DALLAS INTERNATIONAL GUITAR FESTIVAL!!!

Guitar enthusiasts from all over the globe (including yours truly) traveled this weekend to Dallas, Texas to buy, sell/trade and drool over the finest collection of guitars (mostly vintage) assembled under one roof.

Gretsch/FMIC had a display there to spread the love & gospel according to Gretsch guitars. Though we weren’t selling guitars directly to the public, Mike Fuller of “Fuller’s Vintage Guitar” - Houston, Texas had their own display with a HUGE inventory of goods where you could make your Gretsch purchase. Our display was more of a gathering place where folks came to jam, test drive NEW Brian Setzer and Chet Atkins model guitars, ask questions and to share stories of their favorite Gretsch guitar.

Lot's of GREAT guitar pickin' was heard coming from our display as crowds quickly gathered to see who was playing.

At the center of this crowd was 16 year old, Marina from Austin, Texas. Playing a Setzer "Hot Rod" model in Regal Blue, Marina's finger style technique had even the most seasoned players mesmerized as she segued from one tune to another.

These two were tearing it up while exchanging lighting fast licks on a Chet G6120DSW (left) and Setzer G6120SSLVO (right). These guys were simply AMAZING!

Setzer "Hot Rod" guitar... plugged into a Gretsch 125th "Anniversary" amp... while wearing a pair of dark shades would make anyone feel... too cool!

Another fine finger style picker, Mr. Chuck Dillard from W. Monroe, Louisiana with a G6122-1962 Chet Atkins “Country Gentleman”.

WHOA!!! An original early '60's "Anni" with HiLo'Trons. Check out the Sunburst finish! I was breaking into a cold sweat trying to resist pulling out my credit card for this baby!
