Yes Ric, I have talked with Joel and sent pics. This is in no way to shine a poor light on him, like i said he is a stand up guy. He was willing to give me a FULL refund even. I was the one who decided to let it go. Nothing in life is perfect. I think I can find someone local maybe who can refinish the guitar. Plus it's only the size of a penny. No Joel is the best but next time I will drive as far as I need to and look it over myself. It's almost like buying a car on line. Wife says I am too damn picky anyway, lol.
Best place to purchase Gretsch. price vs quality

I personally went over the guitar and did not see any areas like what was mentioned. That's what's weird. I did receive the pics and forwarded them to Fender and they where kind of stand offish since the pics where a bit fuzzy and not too detailed. From what I can tell it was just just the clear and it looked scuffed, not chipped. The orange was there. The thing is it is a lacquer finish so it is pretty repairable. The spot if I'm seeing it right looks like it could possibly be sanded and buffed out. Again, kind of hard to tell from the pics. I definetly have no problem doing a full refund if you're not happy with it. We do appreciate peoples business and for the prices we charge we do go above and beyond. We did have a Cowboy case express shipped in from Fender for the SSLVO in question to meet a Friday ship date and assumed the shipping cost. I know a lot of other dealers may do things like that we do like to make sure the customer's happy....

YES I AGREE 100 PERCENT. I want everyone to know Joel you have the best customer service I have ever come across in any line of work. Your communication was fast and professional. I don't for a second think it was your fault. Fender wanted more pics and I don't have a camera with good close up features so I wanted to take it outside. Doing so would risk (my luck) damaging it somehow, trust me I could, lol. I have no problem with you Joel, how could I, a 100 percent refund was always available. If anything I was looking for a perfect finish, this one had lacquer missing I guess. Like I had said my kid is on a second tour of duty as a Sargent in the Marines in Iraq. I made the purchase to give him the guitar one day soon, so I was a little too picky. HOPE EVERYONE HEARS ME, I AM HAPPY I PURCHASED A GUITAR WITH SHANGAI MUSIC AND JOEL.
