I love reading posts on this great site,but i would love to know what all the abbreviations stand for.Thanks

most of the abbreviations are just model designations. which ones are you curious about?

  • cge = ?
  • ri = Reissue
  • ngd = "New Guitar Day" - when we aquire a new guitar etc.

  • NGC = no guitar content
  • NAD = new amp day
  • NPD = new pedal day
  • DRRI = Fender Deluxe Reverb Reissue
  • PRRI = Fender Princeton Reverb Reissue
  • 59RI = Fender 1959 Bassman Reissue

ngc...No Gretsch Content.....maybe? Huh? I'm a thinkin' some abbreviations might be mis-spellings.

FT= Filtertron
PT= Powertron
PU or pup= Pick up
SC bridge= Space Control Bridge
DS= Dynasonic?

GDP = Gretsch Discussion Pages = this forum

JM = often, Fender Jazzmaster

FMIC = Fender Musical Instrument Corporation

We forgot maybe the most spoken abbreviation.. GAS

GAS == Guitar/Gear Acquisition Syndrome

yep I have tried Tums, Rolaids, pepcid AD and others nothing works like a new Axe to take care of GAS. ;-)
