Anyone else find that their cats love the plushness of their guitar case?

My baby daughter used to like laying in my guitar case whilst I played to her. Often enough, the cat would join -- unless I was playing through an amp -- then the scaredy-cat would run away.

Yes, but it's not that good of an idea because the other one can jump on the lid and the cat inside can get hurt (hasn't happened, but still), plus leaves cat fur inside the case, so I just close it before they go in, although they might still spend a little time in there before I remember to do that.

I have had them knock guitars down, but nothing happened to the guitars except a loud sound and they jumped away.

It was bad enough when one cat started to enjoy jumping on the laptop monitor and shutting it.

Your cat is not an exception. Every cat seems to feel the same way.

Call me a fool but, my cat is more important to me than my guitar case. If she gets some cat hair in there, oh well. And, danger to the cat?I have not felt any grave danger from letting her hang out in the case, call me a softy for my kitty kitty. I mean take a look at that face.

My cat sometimes plays my guitar. I have a cheapo acoustic under the sofa (no case) & sometimes we'll be sitting watching TV when there's a loud TWANG.

When Uncle Grumpy was visiting, as soon as he took his guitar out of the case, Cookie got in.

It was all fun and games until the lid fell on my cat. I keep my cases closed from now on.

My last guitar teacher's cat found a gig bag of mine and wizzed in it...I don't let cats near my cases anymore.

I'm a firm believer in the fact that people's pets are a reflection of them. Having said that, I would be suspicious of your last guitar teacher.

Every cat I've ever had loved guitar cases, but Little Walter, the rascal, will not stay in long enough for a photo;this will have to do.
