  1. Sort of. I went to a blues jam at a local bar and met a guy who played a Gretsch. Well, we got to talking and he asked me if I know Tavo. Hell yes says I, I know him from the GDP. The guys name is Peter Florance and he is one hell of a guitar player. He uses Tavos pedals. I recommended he join the GDP. Coast to coast! Small world.

  2. The dude that winds pickups ?

  3. Ha really, wow it is becoming a smaller world with the GDP. you ran into the legendary Mr. Florance?! Peter Florance has built pickups for Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, and I think even Keith Richards (I'll have to confirm that but I remember it on facebook) and my classic teles have his pickups. I made acquaintance with him because Marc Rutters puts Peter's pickups in his tele builds. Marc makes my tele bodies and I've had the pleasure of using the Florance tele pickups. Just got a nocaster bridge pickup and bakerfield TE60 recently to boot.

    check his site out..

  4. Funny, he did mention something about pickups. Wish I had more time to talk to him. But now I know where to find him.:D

  5. were you playing? got video? c'mon now

  6. Awesome!! Yes, video!?

  7. Alas, I played not. I did some dancing though. :P

  8. now that we would pay to see

  9. I've got a couple Teles/Esquires with Voodoo (Florance) pickups. Got a set in a Strat and found a good deal on a used set of his '59 humbuckers for my SG. I like 'em. Funny my name doesn't come up when his pickups are mentioned... ;-)

  10. Checked out his website. His Tele pu's are actually pretty reasonably priced for handwound boutique stuff. His Tele pu's are highly regarded by alot of folks over at the Tele Forum. According to his website he's also going to be producing custom made guitars down the road.
