So who all is coming to the Kansas City Cowtown Roundup?
-
J(ust an old Cowboy)D
Brent, maybe we can get a "community" sized Tums bottle
Us old guys will need this after hitting the BBQ LOL
I'm getting heartburn thinking about this. Looking forward to this RoundUp
-
S. Rock
yep, I'm really looking forward to being there, too.

anybody else interested in making it to the Cowtown/Kansas City Roundup ? it's this coming Saturday May 19th, 2012 ? as we say in my native "Luzianne", "we gonna pass a good time, yeah".

I'm planning on being there, whatever that's worth
-
S. Rock
hey, what kind of weather are y'all expecting down there in KC for the weekend ? they're talking thunderstorms here in the Minneapolis/St.Paul area.
-
KCMatt
It should be good Friday through Saturday night, then slight chance of rain Sat. night and 50% on Sunday. That will probably change at least once before then though.

Joe Carducci - Gretsch/FMIC
Regarding attendees... do we have an estimated head-count?
-
fieldhdj
Besides myself, my wife Deb, my son Dylan, and my friend JR.
Possibly one more.
-
Baxter
Joe, I think Darren has a pretty good count. I think a lot of folks coming haven't added themselves to the "attending" list on the Roundup page.
Weather is going to be gorgeous, at least until Sunday, when it might rain. 84 and sunny.

S. Rock
the weather sounds good. and what's a little rain to someone from "dear ol' Luzianne". if you can't drive in the rain in Louisiana, you'll never drive down there.
I sure am looking forward to the weekend.

Counting everyone who's responded here or on the event page with at least a maybe, I have around 25 on my list.

I'm still trying to decide whether I'd feel more out of place with or without a guitar considering my skill level compared to everyone else's here ......,

We just added two, so My house is sending seven of us.
Matt, bring your guitar. You'll have fun, learn a bunch of stuff, and feel right at home doing it. Besides, sitting home in a case my be the worst possible use of a perfectly good Power Jet!
-

Tubawumpus, if you are reading this, we've added Tom Petty's "You Wreck Me". We're going to pair it with Honey Bee, so you'll have back-to-back bashers.
-
LiRM35
Doug, I've had you down as you +6 for a month or so. Glad to hear you're living up to that!
-

And a second to the above "bring it!" notion. Although, there will be plenty of guitars present. At some point, someone mentioned a Tru-Arc shootout, so I'm bringing all of my Tru-Arc equipped axes-- all six of 'em.

My HolyCowIHopeICanJamAllThis StuffInTheTruck gear list.
3 acoustic guitars, 6 electrics, 1 electric bass, 2 ~ 40 watt guitar amps, 1 Roland Cube, 1 electric bass amp, mics, stands, cables, gig toolkit.
It's going to be a tight fit.

Been lurking here, ever since I got my G5120 Electromatic. My son just got a RHH...so, since we both live in KC, we are planning to at least "stop by" and see what is going on...plus, we will have our significant others!.....so that makes (4).
Can anyone point me to the page where the day's schedule might be posted? Having never attended one of these, I have no idea how to find out when to even plan to arrive!
We'd definitely like to meet TV and Proteus...my son is wanting to get a Tru Arc.
THANKS! Looking forward to it!
-
Proteus
Tubwomp and I have talked to coordinate our mission.
I told him to bring whatever he wants, and if he brings more than will fit in the van after I load whatever I want...we'll just leave his stuff on the ground in my driveway.
This shouldn't happen, as I've always managed to stuff everything in for Nashville, including PA – and I'm not bringing PA to this gig, right?
Is that right, Bax/organizers? PA is covered? Two free inputs for keyboards? Or a keyboard amp say yes?
I'm figuring a slew of Gretschs (just bringing the "interesting" ones) and the pedalboard. Maybe an amp, though there are always plenty.
And box-o-Tru-Arcs.
Figger to leave Indiana about 9 tomorrow, putting is in KC...around 5?
Then what?

fieldhdj
We have permission to load in Friday night, and we should probably do as much of that as possible. Maybe a quick sound check too? Gotta get the VIPs from the airport - I haven't heard of their ETAs yet. Might be fun to try some acoustic stuff Friday night and socialize a bit. And we should squeeze dinner in in there somewhere too.

Matt, you can't be any worse than I am. Show up and we'll just have some fun.

Proteus
Dinner! Now you're talkin'.

What's the official "kick off time" on Saturday?
I'll be driving down in the morning.
-
J(ust an old Cowboy)D
Proteus, hang on to a ST-120. I want one for my -58 Gent.
