Thx gents! I’ve already removed neck hs binding. And the easy to remove body binding. Next come the removal of all the crystallized body binding.

Damn! I love the look of the wood as is, are you going to just clear coat it? Binding coming off OK?

Rc- binding was a painful process. Parts of it came off in easy to remove large sections.. others I fought to minimize the removal of wood... very tedious.

mince I had a few areas where wood peeled up I elected to strip the cheesy 60’s layer of walnut finish.., there was a huge layer of this walnut nitro finish., several mills!!

I was keen to play her after the thick finish was removed..., it is soooo resonant!

I plan to do the binding.. then a few small divot repairs w some mahogany dust... then prob just shoot a very thin layer of nitro over this faded finish.
