Fred Gretsch and Joe Carducci will be at Sweetwater music in Fort Wayne, IN on Saturday June 27. They will be giving a presentation as part of Sweetwater's GearFest '09 . The presentation is at 12:30.

I got to see them on the last tour they did. It was great. Lots of history and info presented. I hope they hit New England again.

I will certainly try! I met Joe and Jammed with him at the North Woods Jam! How cool is that! I also won the wonderful Playboy amp from Joe! I would love to see him again, he is just the Kewlest Kat that I have ever met!!

I think I'm going to take my son. I attended the Gretsch Workshop at "The Woodwind & Brasswind" locally in South Bend a couple years ago. It was very interesting.

I took my son on Saturday. The Fred & Joe show was a very interesting slide show presentation of what Gretsch "is" and even more important - what Gretsch "is NOT".

I won a $2 bill for answering some trivia at the end of the show & we talked with Fred & Joe at the Gretsch booth later in the day.

It was so nice to see 2 people that are genuinely excited about the craftsmanship & history of their product. Many of the other manufactures seemed as if they were in high school detention.

If you get a chance to catch Fred & Joe at one of their stops - it is well worth your time.

Below is a pic of my son, Michael, with Fred. Mike saw the Corvette & it is now in his sights.

I was there too; it was definitely a very interesting presentation. I also won a $2 bill at the end of the show and got my picture taken with Fred.

RatFink, did you happen to catch Greg Koch's prsentation with Fender? It was interesting too. He talked about the Road Worn guitars and the VM Deluxe and VM Bandmaster amps, as well as, demoed the amps.

I stopped back at the Gretsch corner of the guitar tent to try to meet some GDP members, but was only there for about ten minutes before I went to the Fender presentation. I left before Fred and Joe started the $2 givaway there.

Brandon... I took the boy to get a burger at the cafeteria right after the presentation, then went back to the Gretsch tent. Joe took a pic of Fred, my son & I & autographed the back.

They gave my son a t-shirt & a backpack. I started to talk to Joe about the Gretsch Pages, Facebook & Myspace. He remembered recently adding me to his myspace page & told me to hold on a second. About a minute later he came back with a set of 4 Gretsch 125th Annie Glasses.

It is a nice gift & they were really cool to chat with.

RatFink, I also received a set of those glasses. They are a very cool gift! I talked to Fred alittle bit before he left to set up for the show. I also talked to Joe alittle too, but he was also busy. It was very cool to get to meet the both of them.

bobcat, did you give the strap to Fred at the show or after the show? I went back to the guitar tent after the show, but didn't hang around too long before I went to see the Fender presentation.
