I'm still 18 - with 29 years experience. You'd think I'd have it down by now!

Although some of you guys might have a few decades on me, I am always grateful of the knowledge you can share on guitars, music, and anything else. I also love how age seems to not make a difference among Gretsch players. What are the odds that we would all know each other, or even talk to each other if it weren't for this common interest?

Guess she's not in on the "Tell Us Your Weight" thread either, eh?
45 Years old, playing Gretsch since 1978 (first one was a 1959 Double Annie).
43...and my binding's still good.
(did anybody use that one yet?)
A bit over a year ago when last we played this game and I ran a spreadsheet (yes, I'm that pathetic), there were 88 respondents.
The median age was 46; cgs was the youngest at 15, and Jimmy Peters the oldest at 68.
THIS year, with 103 respondents, our median age has actually decreased to 44 (probably good news for Gretsch marketeers); ashcow is youngest at 14, and Jimmy is still our elder at 69.
68
impertinence will get you nowhere
re: original question...
EVERYTHING gets broken down by age.
Durn...when I started this thread I was 25, now I am 56!
how does it break down by age? well, first the joints go, then the eyesight and hearing, after that the organs, and finally the memory. i'm actually looking forward to losing my memory...i've got LOTS of things to forget.
I'm still OK, but worried about my "truss rod".
To hell with the bindings
my whammy bar is still good to go
Interesting thread. Fafty four

This year I celebrated my 6th annual 49th birthday. Or you could say 54.
Okay, so I'll show up late and say that I am the current median age of 44.
I'll be 38 in a few days.

Cool, Proteus! That's something I would do. I make tons of lists- that's why I have all my guitar serial numbers and the details of more than a thousand band jobs. OCD is not an illness--it's a way of life.
