I'm retired and am a Medicare recipient. Born 9 months after Pearl harbor. But, things still appear as though I'm peering through thirty year old eyes.
I am surprised at how old my 66 year old classmates look, though. Poor souls.

at least in the West, the latter part of the 20th Century was a high-water mark in civilized history for individual freedom. like any good thing, mankind beat on it until they broke it off. look back on that time with gratitude as the coming technology of surveillance makes freedom of any kind less and less possible.
