Great, I'm looking forward to it! Gotta put my jet firebird together though before then, but I'll do my best.

Sep 4, 2008 1:08 a.m. Dr Nyl:
Ok Boys, 2 more work days and...were off!
It seems as all the practical things such as transport, hotel, amps, drummer, food, PA etc, are under control. Am i right?

Sep 4, 2008 3:39 a.m. Sjolte:
Yeah, everything should be set Dr Nyl.
You, me and Danman still need to arrange exactly where to meet, though.
Other than that we're ready to rumble

Sep 4, 2008 4:03 a.m. Dr Nyl:
I will have a short business meeting at Schipol at 9 (read: work pays flightticket
) and will then go downtown Amsterdam for some short sightseeing. I presume youre train is arriving at the Central Station, so well keep in touch and meet up with Danman somewhere (central?).
I think Danman said that we should roll out from Amsterdam about 12 a clock to make it to Schraard in good time.

Sep 4, 2008 4:35 a.m. Danman:
Hi there, I don't think we need to leave at 12. Aren't we supposed to be arriving at 3 or so? It is a little over an hour drive so if we leave at 1.30 we will be there really on time. We can check into the hotel and slowly go over to unload our stuff. I guess.
Ok, we can meet at central station or anywhere you will be. As long as I can get there by car.
We could also have lunch together if you want before we leave. -

Sep 4, 2008 7:02 a.m. will:
i don't have navigation, but: have gretsch, will travel!
i'm sure it's not too hard to find. although i didn't get Sjolte's pm so far, i mailed Rocketman if he wants to travel with me.
i hope all works out allright, because last week my old car failed the test and had to leave it behind. tomorrow i'll be picking up my 'new' one. a subaru vivio!

the 'incomplete' Astro will be staying at home. i don't see a use for a guitar with a missing pick-up, but i'll bring some other goodies.

Sep 4, 2008 7:18 a.m. Konrad:
Guys,
I can't come. I've got too many people on holidays from work, and well, I'm the boss, so you know how it goes.
I didn't say anything for as along as possible. I really hoped to be there.

Sep 4, 2008 7:20 a.m. Danman:
Hi Will, Sjolte sent me and Dr.nyl a PM so we can organize us meeting here in Amsterdam.
I hope you still find Rocketman.....
I'm sure you can download a 'routeplanner' and find it easily. Otherwise we can meet at the afsluitdijk and take the dangerous trip over that touristic highlight together.
You are right, we don't want to see any incomplete gretsches at this meeting. It would only make us feel sad.

Sep 4, 2008 7:22 a.m. Danman:
Sorry to hear that Konrad. But if you are the boss, can't you tell them not to take holidays when there is a serious event like this?
Hope to see you next time though.

Sep 4, 2008 8:17 a.m. Ratrod:
I made some signs to be shure.
Simply take exit 16 on the A7 (Makkum) and follow the white signs that say GDP.
The hotel isn't hard to find. Just follow the signs that say Zurich. The town is one long street and there's only one hotel.

Sep 4, 2008 8:22 a.m. Danman:
Great, then we surely will find it.
Should we first go to the hotel or shall we all first meet at the frisia? -
- Rated: 17 ↑
Sep 4, 2008 9:52 a.m. Dr Nyl:
I assume we are coming from the south, the way over the bay (is it a Ferry or a Bridge?). If so we are passing the Hotel on our way so i think it will be best to check in first and then off to Frisia for soundcheck

Sep 4, 2008 10:03 a.m. Danman:
We will be driving over a long dike from the south west. Good idea. We can freshen up before soundcheck.

if we can get in at Frisia at 16:00h, how about around 15:00h at the hotel?

Danman said: We will be driving over a long dike from the south west
Whooah! Sounds scary, neither bridge or ferry, are you sure you dont mean a dyke. -

Sep 4, 2008 11:18 a.m. Dr Nyl:
To bad you couldnt make it Konrad. But, next year, when this has grown to be bigger than i.e. Donington you wont be able to miss it!

Sep 4, 2008 12:27 p.m. Danman:
I do mean dyke but also dike. I wasn't sure but according to the dictionary both are possible.
Yep and it is a long dyke making the sea into a lake and putting many fishermen out of business but that was long ago and I don't fish anyway.
