Very sorry to hear about the heart attack, but glad to hear that he seems to be pulling through. My thoughts and prayers are with our good forum buddy Bear, and you, his family. Best wishes to the lot, hope to see some more postings from Bear in the near future!

Miss Janice, I have been having computer problems and have just now been restored. I saw your post, but was unable to respond. That said...
Bear is one of my very favorite people on this very high quality forum. Please convey my very best wishes to him and also to you and family. My thoughts and prayers will be with all of you and I'm looking forward to hearing the big fella back on here again. He's special.
Very best,

Holy cow!!! Just saw this post/thread!
Best wishes for a full and speedy recovery, buddy. On my birthday in August, Bear posted a "happy birthday" thread for me that really touched me......I'm not one of the bigger posters here, so I though it extra-cool of him to notice.
Anyway, classy guy always, and I will definitely be praying for you (Bear) and your family. I'm glad to hear that it seems things are going well.
In peace-- jim

Get well soon Bear. My father is 62 has a history of heart problems so this has brought back a lot of memories of rushing to the hospital and reminded me I need to talk to him about his habits and also keep an eye on my own.

Hello again friends of Bear,
I don't know how much of Stephan's condition you're aware of but he doesn't keep it a secret so I'm sure he won't mind me sharing this with you.
Stephan has advanced congestive heart failure complicated by severe atrial fibrillation and is on a list for a transplant, but the list is long.
He is being treated with medication and is responding well. He is very weak of course and will need to take it very easy for quite some time, but there is a good chance he could be released to come home as soon as tomorrow. Until a new heart becomes available, there is really little more that can be done.
Thank you all for your concern and outpouring of love for my husband. I am amazed at how many new well wishes there are every time I pay a visit here. You'll never realize how much we all appreciate it.
I take all the new messages with me every day and it just makes him so happy. The doctor is very pleased with how Stephan is improving after this latest attack with his heart in as bad a shape as it is. That is very reassuring.
His cardiologist told me he is one of the toughest fighters he has ever treated. When we rushed him into the emergency room last Thursday he grabbed the on call doctor's arm and told him that he was not ready to go yet.
I'm on my way back to the hospital to spell our daughter. I'll have another update for you tomorrow
God Bless you all,
Janice

Janice, while you're doing for everyone else, don't forget to take care of yourself a little bit in the middle of all this. The stress sure can sneak up on you, just like anyone else. Good luck, and glad to hear Bear is doing better.

I presume that's why they call him the Bear!
Best wishes and continued prayers from down in Texas!
