Never been to that part of the Territory and would be interested even coming all the way from ATL. Hadn't been to AZ at all in twenty years until a couple of years ago when we brought my son and his wife over from Australia to Vegas, then went up to the Grand Canyon and I fell in love with the northern part of your state. I don't know how you make a living up there other than by ranching, but liked the lack of people.
Anyway, I could very possibly show up with a guitar but probably not an amp, I am not going to give Delta a chance to destroy that.

No worries Bigsby. I'll be good for at least two amps, maybe more.
OK, we can now speak feeely about the super secret lair, the location for the get together. Century Bob has graciously volunteered his auto A/C repair shop as a site and gentlemen, it would be hard to imagine a better venue.
It's large enough to comfortably hold a jam and it's uncluttered and kept roughly as clean as most operating rooms. It's in a good location, far enough from residences to allow us to crank up a bit without fearing a visit from the fuzz and the doors are on the back of the building so traffic noise isn't a problem.
Best of all, it comes from a GDP member who happens to be a great guy. I can't think of anything that better demonstrates the spirit of the GDP than the generosity he is showing.

Sorry Jukebox. I'm still thinking of a Minnesota visit, probably in May, so we could perhaps do a Gopher State jam while I'm up there.

Mark,
Do you have a target date yet for an Arizona Territory GDP gathering? Please know I'd love to be a part of it!
Also know I'm going to be doing quite a bit of traveling this year with the Gretsch 125th Anniversary "in-store" events. If my schedule permits, count me in your GDP gathering!

I think we're looking at the 3rd or 4th weekend of September. Century Bob is heading into his busy season and with my assistant in the hospital and problems backing up at work I'm in for a busy spring and summer too so we're shooting for one of those pleasant late summer/early fall days.
Don't tell anybody but there's a rumor that the head Gretsch guy at FMIC might show up.

I would be there in a heartbeat on almost any other weekend, but have a gig in Chicago that weekend (the annual Hideout Block Party, Sept 20 - 21). In fact, one of the guys I will be playing with is from Tucson (Nick Luca).
Tucson is about an 8 hour drive for me. More than happy to do it if it's on a date that I can make.
Thanks for your efforts in this direction, Mark. I hope it happens.
