I bought a Jaguar Tan Anniversary largely due to the GDP's OUTSTANDING coverage of last year's NAMM Show. And an excellent guitar it was too.
But my wife would surely KILL me if I did that again. So maybe you should be thinking about package deals including a Kevlar vest for other folks in the same situation

Nobody said: How come our local Guitar Center doesn't have a big ole' life sized version of that poster up on the wall?Because the Gretsch doesn't have a pointy headstock, and it doesn't say "Charvel" or "Jackson" on it.
Someone should set up a live webcam with streaming video!
Also working the Gretsch exhibit with us for the fist time is my associate, Jamie Ferguson. He's not only a Gretsch enthusiast but also a fine guitarist and a bad-ass lap steel player.
I've had the pleasure of speaking to Jamie on a couple of occasions and he is a great guy, and an undoubtedly imortant part of the FMIC Gretsch team. It's nice to put a face with his voice.

I've never seen/heard of Linday Kay, but if she's playing a Knotty Pine she's gotta be alright!
Also, if there's ever a film retrospective done on her career, Parker Posey is spot-on to play her.
Looking forward to the Fallout Boy model also. I'm really thinking about getting one of those this year.

garageink, you might also keep your eyes open for another picture of Kim Falcon that Gretsch has used for some promotional purposes of the NAMM show. She is wearing the same black dress from the White Falcon shot, but this time, while sitting on the Executive amp, she holds an opened bamboo parasol (kind of the type used in parts of Asia) directly behind her head (so that it frames her head within that circle),and she holds a Black Falcon in the other hand. It is also another great Kim Falcon shot.
they should just produce posters from all those shots. I'm sure my wife would love my music area plastered with Kim Falcon posters.
and I am serious about those lanyards. what better way to show my Gretsch love then hangin' out of my pocket everywhere I go.

I'm right on the fence between the 6122-59 and the DSW at the moment(I know; about as far apart as ya can get....long story. Leaning towards the -59)but a poster of Kim with the DSW would be quite an influence for sure!

Waaaaaait a minute here. Ahem. I think Falcon owners should get first crack at Kim's lanyard. Admittedly, I might not wear it, but it would be a nice gift for my old man, and grant me some leeway when he's yelling for me and I'm under headphones plugged into my amp.
