Mad Max & the Wild Ones
Joe first saw this charming family band at the Phoenix Rockabilly Fest last March, and he's been raving about them since.
It's no wonder when you see them perform. The band, from Springville Utah, includes brothers Wyatt on lead White Falcon, Cole on drums, and young Duke on vocal and rhythm Wild West Sweetheart, along with their rockin' dad Max on bass. In a twisted turnabout on usual family band practice, it was son Wyatt who taught dad to play, rather than vice versa.
Sharp, thorough pros. Audio and video will be up as soon as I get it processed (I'm trying to beat FMIC's team of 10 or 12 media and web staffers): in the meantime, enjoy the pics. (See if you can find mom in the pics.)
