It's that time again, boys and girls – when thoughts of the truly Gretsch-stricken worldwide turn as one to the Anaheim Convention Center.
That's where the music biz gathers every January to present, introduce, sell, buy – and celebrate – not only the stuff of making music, but music itself.
More to the point, it's where Gretsch Guitars takes its place in the vast 3rd floor Fender Music display to show what's hot, surprises (or not), as well as our best-loved tried and true gear.
And if you're here on the GDP...you're there. For the third year, Gretsch has invited me to come along and connect you all to the event with pics, audio, video, no doubt some prizes – though I don't have a goodie bag yet.
(The story of how I got here can be found in this thread.)
There will be much live music at the Gretsch booth from old Gretsch friends and new, which will be covered in due time. There will be new model introductions and announcements of things to come, as well as interviews with Gretsch-connected notables, pictures of GDP and other visitors, Kim Falcon coverage, and more – enough to keep the hits coming strong for the next, countem, four-and-a-half days. (Or as long afterward as it takes to get it done.)
The New Gretsch Golden Age is well underway, and gathering lustre all the time.
But don't hyperventilate...a little deep breathing, everything in its own time.
