I wanna win a book! I just can't type fast enough to keep up with you all.
UG, you can have my book if I win it...I can't read.

Since Tim is off scaling Mount Big Bear or some such thing, I'd just like to take a moment to report on the gig-worthiness of what appears to be the most coveted prize in this contest, and my latest piece of Gretsch gear: the bolo tie. I wore it along with my guitar-festooned cowboy shirt to a gig on Saturday night (country music in an Irish pub? Only in L.A.), and it was well-received (positively commented-upon by numerous audience members during the break), reliable (never slipped off my neck the whole night), and seemed to attract others of its ilk (a Rockabilly trio came in and played during our break, the lead player used, of course, a White Falcon). Music sounds better when you're wearing a Gretsch bolo tie.
Oh! Lucky you giffenf! I hope I can win one of those bolos on the next quiz round!
I want one too ...
No, after i read giffenf's post, i'm afraid i need one to spice up my credibility (did i spell that right?) ...
The bolo ties are pretty darn fantastic, but the Eddie Cochran book is REALLY great. Lots of tremendous information in it, great photos, etc. You probably will want both.
... i guess i need the book too, to spice up my Eddie Cochran-credibility!
I´m actually starting to get a bit sleepy, 17 pages and 48 hrs. If I go to grab a cup of coffe dang if not questions has already been asked & answered.
What the hell, I won't say no to the book either, or the 2010 price list, or any of the Gretsch merch! I'm getting nervious!
GOOD MORNING GRETSCHIES!
Good morning? It's almost suppertime!
Good evening Hermitt!
Good afternoon, my friends. It is 12:15 p.m. here in the beautiful commonwealth of Kentucky.
Afternoon and morning you American infidels. Oh, and you Canadian infidels too - basically anybody outside of my timezone. Infidels the lot of you.
Happily an infidel since 1962.
Happily an infidel since 1957.
Happily Fidel since 1926.
Greetings capitalists! We European communists are going to have some dinner and then we wait for our binding factor: our commandante El Protto stepping out of his grotto, into the Magic Mega NAMM Fair Quiz Wipe-Out Giveaway Sweepstake Contest! See you in one hour my darlings!
This cigar's in Fidel, I just don't know if it's happy.
My current travels and travails are documented in the Road Trip thread - but I haven't forgot about y'all.
I doubt it will be possible today, but there will be ample notice of Round 2 of the Post-NAMM Quiz Show – and I intend it to be held at a time equally friendly to both our Euro comrades and Murrican patriots.
Thank you proteus! Great pictures of the travel! Here in the Canary Islands is amazing to see those pics!
