Ah, that was The Slaptones, now Baskery. I seem to recall having seen the kit before, now that you mention it.

Oooooooooooooohm............
I may have won some Tavo-nalia, because you asked people to write an essay about that. No verdict by you yet. And maybe the EC pin if you think that is justified. I already got a bolo for sure. Catalogs are bad for my recent g.a.s. developments.
An EC book or the Chet strings .10 gauge I have not got yet, can really warm me up.
Oh yeah, a bolo for Jeff O who is way too cool to play games.

Yup, that was it: the Slaptones. Their dad was related to the Gigpig-company, afaik.
It does help to amplify the bassdrum, though. But most of the time we play without amplifying the kit. Me and the DSV into the Reverberocket and only vocals (and a little bassdrum) into the PA. Set-up time is minima!.

There are books. There are EVERYthing left. The world has not recently ended, nor is it soon scheduled. (Your results may vary, not responsible for circumstances beyond my control, etc.)
I'm told we'll be mobile toward our jobsite momentarily. Watch this space for further contest announcements.

Ah yes, the Slaptones........(mind wanders off)..........
I never saw one of those drum-a-madoodles before. Intesting. I'd ask Will if he would take it along for the next Euro Roundup but I'm pretty shure I have a drummer and bassist able and willing this time.
Oh man, am I off topic here or what!?

It would be fun to bring it to the Roundup: that we we have more room left for guitars and amps!
I do have another 'rootsy' drummer availabe (and he used to play standup-bass too!). If they both agree it might be fun to ask both?
Sorry for the derail, guys. It's all my fault ... Now back to our scheduled program!

Where is he, this Bridge Bender from Mordor...
Let's lay down some of these breadcrumbs. I'll hide away in the camouflage hut. Virtual cigar anyone? What's that noise, just behind those fleshy leaves... I see the sparkling of little round glasses and a high forehead maybe.. Those tracks are fresh, there was definitely a Proteus Magnificus here. Look, grapefruit peels everywhere... Shavings of copper, steel and aluminum...There is this smell of 72 oz stakes and green chili cheese burgers, how can that be? Shhh, I hear twanging or is it tweeting?
My wife offers me the choice: divorce or come to bed. It's euro pyama time. Sorry gots to go, sees you laters...
