Another good use for the bolo would be to use it to dampen the strings between the bridge and Bigsby if you're having problems with harmonics in that area.

In my interview with him, Stern said he was very interested to pop the pickup and see what kind of job had been done; he expected either a horror or a clean job.
He was a bit surprised to see that it had been done very cleanly and professionally, particularly given that there were few good local guitar techs during the era.
