It's a floor!
The Floor in the subway train!
Are you talking about the amoeba next to the 32nd red dot from the lower right horizontal quadrant?
Or the discharge from the naked dancers?

That's the big bang that started the universe, about 1/8 of a second in. You take that, Proteus?
I think Guitarmaniac got it right.
Just read through all this. I hadn't noticed it because I was pre-occupied with the Euro Roundup.
Crazy shit going on there in the Big Apple.
I grabbed a bunch of swag from Joe Carducci to give away too. After Proteus is done with his giveaways I'll have some stuff for people too.
It's the new secret red-white-and-blue-on-black-non-sparkle material for guitar tops, shown here is a very heavily tested-for-durability sample.
The wall outside the Paradise Garden?
That Kim Falcon is a funny girl, ain't she? Blocking out the 325 model and pointing for emphasis to the Duo Jet model!
It is funny how New York was so much more photogenic in your photographs, Proteus, with Kim Falcon in them!
Hey Proteus, you didn't say if I answered your Gretsch wreck question correctly? And, what did I win for that if I did? (A license plate will work just fine for me, thank you!)
Maybe I can actually pay attention to the contests this time. Most of the previous giveaways I missed because of gigs, or work.
Looks like a hell of a trip man. Makes me want to move to NYC even more.
To go back a bit... Babbo's The Village, ( west I think) The Dispensory, supposedly housed Edgar Allen Poe as a Patient, is a three sided building, again the only in NYC.
Ahhh... Greenwich Village and NYU.... my old college stomping grounds.
Please indulge my love of architecture - and perhaps a New Yorker can provide details on where and what we're seeing.
Pro, this nice architecture shot is of the Jefferson Market Branch of the NY Public LIbrary, once an old courthouse. Apart from the arch at Washington Square Park, It's probably the most well-known major landmark in the Village.
"The Jefferson Market Branch, New York Public Library, still familiar to New Yorkers as Jefferson Market Courthouse, is located at 425 6th Avenue (near W 10th St) in Greenwich Village, New York City on a triangular plot formed by Greenwich Avenue and West 10th Street. The building was originally built as the Third Judicial District Courthouse between the years 1874-1877 from a design by architects Frederick ... " more
You also weren't far from a number of famed clubs like Cafe Wha? (where Dylan and many other notables from the Sixties Folk Era played and passed the hat), as well as The Village Vanguard and the Blue Note (where many great live jazz albums were recorded).
Cool pix! Thanks as always for posting.
You all know that's paintball splatter!
And Babbo is one of the most highly rated NY restaurants right now, specializing in Italian (Tuscan) cuisine.
Amazing food and wine ... was treated to dinner there once.
Part2, I recognize the Feaderal Archive, and I think One Fifth Avenue and the Jefferson Market Library??
Edit: ooops! You guys beat me to it..
Man, the Blue Note.. now THAT brings some memories back....Oh and I cant believe Kim did all that walking in those heels!!!
I dunno but some'ns fubar.
The only thing I have to say about those pictures is that I could look at Kim Falcon and her slight overbite all day and all night.
Burlycue!
We have here some scenes of Saturday night's full night of both traditional and more modern burlesque, pics compliments of Miss Jamie, as I was shooting video.
There were many more performers than the dozen or so represented here; we just didn't get stills of all the women. I also didn't get all their names, though there's a listing in the Coney Island Rockabilly Fest site, and with research I'll be able to associate names with performers.
But, out of fairness to all the women, till I have time to do that, I won't post any names.
And I do think I'll be able to post at least some representative video eventually. (Video takes forever, I'm day-jobbing, and there are numerous "issues." But I haven't forgotten.)
Prize Control
Blaydrunner takes a Gretsch Zippo for correctly answering that Kim was shooting paintballs at a "freak" – at the Shoot-A-Freak game located next to Cha Cha's.
In other news, Guitarmaniac will be lighting up for identifying the floor in the subway train...
with a Gretsch license plate to yetto for seeing the cosmic dimensions of the image. (First thing I thought too.)
Picking the story up Sunday night, after our Manhattan Memories, I was back at Coney by 5:00 to catch MacSteven's Wicked Whiskey band in an early show on the roof of Cha Cha's, followed by an evening of Coney Island, music, sideshow acts, and more burleycue.
Prize-away Time
A large mushroomiform tower appears in the mid distance in several of the boardwalk pictures.
For a Gretsch license plate, identify it.
Wicked Whiskey!
I really enjoyed member MacSteven's band.
Some of my favorite memories of the event will be images of the band playing on the roof of Cha Cha's, out in the cool breeze of late afternoon, looking out over the ocean, seabirds and flags fluttering around them, Coney Island below, and the mingled smell of sea air and Nathans Famous hotdogs wafting up.
Their music was a perfect soundtrack.
