Thanks to Al Brenner a Gretsch pages member I found the head unit for the nashville empty cab that I had.Swapped over parts to my cab and pluged her in and played for a while sounds great.Still needs a little love (slight hum)but thats part of the game. <img src="

The reverb should be easy enough to fix. Take it to a competent amp tech and they'll get it humming like nobody's biz... Is it a tube model or solid state?

any source for the light cover or bulb number that goes on front?Played the amp again last night the tremlo and majic echo are sweet.Wouldnt want to cart around it about the size of a small fridge.I think its a cool piece of Gretsch history.

reverb is working.When echo is on the amp makes a continuous thump thump .

Sounds like it has a tube or two to drive the reverb maybe and the preamp tubes are bad? I know you said it's solid state, but maybe there's a 12AX7 in there somewhere? If not, it probably needs new caps being that it's so old. Maybe the power is fading in and out due to demand and the caps aren't what they used to be? Just a theory.

I have one of these also..very clean condition..just keeps blowing fuses..have to get it checked out as soon as I have the energy to carry it to the amp tech.!

Yeah..The tolex is nice and the grille cloth looks really good..still has the gretsch logo on the front..just really big and heavy...I just leave it in the corner of the room.
