Just got a G5222 amp. Plug it in and pilot light goes on, tubes glow, and hums. With guitar plugged barely any ouput. Volume knob hardly any effect. Bad tube, send it back for another? Any thoughts? Thanks

Check the speaker leads and make sure they're tight.

Did you make sure your guitar volume was up and any and all patch cables were hooked up properly?

I had the exact same problem with my Fender Champion 600 (which is the same amp in a different case) - I put mine back in the box upside-down and left it for a night. Next day it was fine - I think initially the tube may have been not sitting in the socket properly.

Guitar good, cable good, tubes in good, speaker leads on good, no change. Have Fender warranty center close by so I took it in. Well update when diagnosis in. Thanks everyone!

OK, Got amp back from service. Apparently a small quality control issue. Pin 5 of power tube socket was not soldered through and resulted in an open trace. This resulted in resistor R10 burning up when amp was plugged in. All good now!
