When I was concidering the purchase of an Executive amp, I found out that Mark Baier said the inputs could be "Fenderised" on request. It would give a less surfy tone. I so can't find the thread about that, nor who came up with this info.
If anyone can remember anything about how the Exec/Lux inputs can be modded to Fender style, please let me know.
I think (??) someone started a thread about semi-Executive amps that Mark Baier was doing after the ties with Gretsch/FMIC were severed. I may be way off here, but I seem to recall JeffO(r whatever his alias du jour...) having the lead on this topic...??
I thought you knew P. It should be $5 worth of parts to create a super easy switch mod for yer Exec inputs. Not very invasive, quite stealth and reversable too. It's all at the easy side of the circuit, so no need to fear smoke, fire or broken amp on tour. If I can get the layout, I can prepare a mod-kit. I can mod here in Holland or hand it to you for DIY if you don't trust me 100%. :-)
I asked Mark. He told the GDP member about it, and me too later on. But amp designers have their pride and any mod is seen as a vote against their design. So I understand why Mark can't rember what I'm talking about. I must search my mail archive...
It was definitely Jeff O(h, I Want Another Amp) that championed the thread about the Victoria amps that were essentially modded Executives. Maybe he will remember some of the details on this.

Uh...contact Mark Baier?
Geoff, I just 'fenderized' the inputs on my project amp.
If you have a circuit diagram, Id be happy to take a look at it.
There's various different configurations on Fenders, so we'd have to find the right one for your amp.
