It's a good one, too. Guarantee with a little work, $800 out the door.
Yeah thats tough to hear...1k for one is tempting. I still got a new executive at 1300 taunting me every time I pick up strings. I would have to trade somethin in and there is nothin that I want to let go of right now
HUUUUUUH? A new Executive for 1300 bucks? Buy it dude! Don't even wait!

I'm with bobcat on this one, fauves. $1,300 for a NEW Executive -- that's a deal that shouldn't be given a lot of thought. Do it, then figure out the details... Worst case, you could probably sell it at a fairly nice profit.
I felt like a I had stolen mine when I paid $1500 for it.
Where's the $1300 Executive???
Yeah I know its a great deal. I am playin acoustic rhythm now and my electrics see NO use other than in my house. I would love to have it. I would also have to flip something I have to get it and there is nothing I want to part with at the moment. I have played it a couple of times in th' shop and its pretty killer.
It's in a shop here in Portland,ME called Buckdancers choice...Great guys. I try to get all my gear there.
No, I don't work there
So if I did go for the Executive I would have to trade in my new (1959) Guild CE100 to do it. would you?
I played an Executive that was on consignment at a local music store and it was one of the best sounding commercially available amps I've played, if you are looking for crystalline clarity but with a little character. Dr. Z's are the only other commercially available amps that seem to do this better of the ones I've played.
Well, personally I'm not a huge Guild fan, so yes, I'd do it.
I'd say no on the trade for the Executive unless you're really not fond of the Guild. It might be a great deal, but it is a new amp and they'll keep making them for the foreseeable future (hopefully!). They aren't making any new '59 Guilds, so I'd say hang on to it and find another way to finance the Executive.
oh, hang on to the Guild, which is a beauty. If you stay on the Hot Button, you'll score the Exec for a good deal... Somewhere... Sometime
Well, I'll soon be able to comment on exactly how good the Executive is... stay tuned, boys and girls!
Nice move, fjr_wertheimber! You won't regret it, I promise.
Yeah I will back Ric on that! A smart move.

...And I agree with Ric12string and Roadjunkie. A VERY good move... based on my experience of owning one for close to a year.
Got something else coming along with it, too...

I have the Executive. It is amazing!
Jeff
Dammit, guys, you're making it even harder for me to wait for my Executive to show up... LOL The more people that pipe in with how great they are, the more I want it to hurry up and get here so I can play with it!!
fjr, wow dude you are gonna love that amp! I cannot get enough of mine. I just don't have enough hours in a day. It sounds like it is made just for my 6120! Post pics on G-T also!!!
I'll second what Mackey said. My Exec. sounds pretty good also. Don
(think it will be around a long time )
Holy. Crap.
YES, THE EXECUTIVE IS WORTH EVER SINGLE STINKIN' PENNY OF THE PRICE.
Damn.
DAMN.
OMFG, this thing is a complete and utter tone monster.
Sell a kidney, rob a bank, find some way to get your hands on one.
Damn. Daaaaaamn. Amazing.

Yeah! Like you're not bias!
I'm not biased, I'm just basing my statements on personal experience...
I mean, it's no skin off my nose if someone does or doesn't like the amp, after all, I've got mine.
