PUP troubleshooting help

1

I've got an epiphone box with an SD phat cat in the next and a 'Tron in the bridge.

Not sure if it's outta phase or what. Not getting any funky sounds, just low output in the both position.

Any thoughts?

2

Have you measured the output (at the jack) with a multimeter?

Could be a bad connection or you got the wires the wrong way round.

Nope, I'm a noob. I'll pick one up and check it tonight.

Sounds like an out of phase issue. If both pickups sound okay by themselves but when they're played together they sound thin and nasally, and a drop in volume then it's probably out of phase. If the 'Tron is a two wire pickup just switch the wires' position with eachother.

5

The guy that installed them for me used quick disconnects. So swap the B/W pop it back in and give it a shot?

Switching wires worked like a champ.

Thanks Fellas!
