Looking for a replacement aluminum nut for a G6120T-55

1

Does anybody know where I can buy a replacement aluminum nut for my 55 Chet? I sent an email to Gretsch's consumer relations asking about whether they sold them or knew of a place that did. They referred me to darrenriley.com. I looked there but did not see any listed. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Seems like anybody who can make a nut could make an aluminum one. Same tools.

If you didn't already, I'd take a moment and send an e-mail to that website - like many things on the internet the sometimes "bits and pieces" don't amount to enough stock to actually list on the website, but they sometimes have some floating around.

If they don't have any they may be able to help you find someone who does.

You can get aluminum stock at any hardware store.

Thank you folks for your help. I don't know why I didn't think about making one/having one made. I guess I just thought that metal = machined and I can't do that. I shape and file my own bone nuts so this shouldn't be that big of a deal. Thanks again!

I may have one. I know I bought one and never used it. I'll check tonight.
