The Workbench

Celluloid Binding Scrape.

1

As are the other 3 binding videos, boring as hell. With that said someone can have a career doing this work so grab a cheap guitar and start with video 1.

2

Looks like fun. Well, maybe the first two letters of fun.

3

What? It's not all glory and giggles?

4

22 hours of scraping? Yow. Looks like a heavy duty respirator you're using.

5

Do you put all the scrapings in a bag and light it at the end?

6

I've enjoyed them all Curt. Keep up the good work.

Yep, that’s actual touch time. The respirator is a P 100 which is a must have.

I do a ceremonial burn of the old binding, those shavings could explode if they get the right oxygen and match mix.

Thanks, I’ll do one more on tinting and maybe one for the reset.

This guitar has a story, tragically the owner passed since it’s been in the shop. The guitar is going to his son and I thought he might like to see the process.
