12 and 15.75 radius difference

hello folks
I wanna buy a 2. guitar to take with me on gigs. It´s gonna be a hollowbody with p90 pups. Right now I have a Epi wildkat with Lollars Pu and it´s perfect for rockabilly. I´m thinking of buying a Peerless gigmaster sc. I don´t have a chance to try it before buying. The Wildkat has 12" neck radius and the Peerless has 15.75 neck radius. Is that a major difference? has anybody tried to play guitars with 12 and 15.75 radius and how did it feel? I play a lot of solo, travis picking, and boogie lines-
Thank Ian

12" is what many of the Gretches have right? I would think 15.75 is pretty flat then. I don't notice radii differences too much on guitars, but I notice it a lot on my smaller stringed instruments (obviously).
I tried to find an image or two comparing, but it just doesn't look right in a jpg.
If you can't try those exact guitars, maybe look around for other guitars that have similar neck radii.

12" is very common among Gretsch, Gibson and Guild guitars. Many Fenders have a narrower radius. 15.75" sounds almost like a classical guitar --- I'm not familiar with any electrics so configured.

You'll get over it in about fifteen seconds. The difference is negligible if you're an experienced player.

If you were in SEQ you could have a turn on mine :P I rate it just as better than my 5120 I had but the neck is wider than the 6120 I have now. Very strong accoustically and I like it's sound. I have however swapped the original p90's (epi?) to genuine gibson ones, gibson tuners and converted the bigsby to a single roller. Next on the program is graphtech saddles. I was happy with the build quality except that they didn't quite paint under the neck/body join on the top. Otherwise not a bad guitar I guess when compared with Epi's and Electromatics. Made in the same factory I think...Mine is also a bit older and was bought new in England... I don't know if they've changed any from when it was made....I personally don't worry too much about the difference in neck radii but I do notice the difference in width to my 6120.

Ha, I was going to say five. If someone blindfolded you and then you were handed the guitars you wouldn't be able to tell the difference on radius alone.

and did the Gibson PU´s make it better

My 1966 6120 has something between a 16" and 20" radius. For years it was the only guitar I played. When I started playing other guitars with a smaller radius I did notice the difference. Eventually a newer 6120 with a 12" radius became my main guitar. I now don't experience much difference when I play the '66. But when I play a guitar with a 9" radius, which does not happen very often, the difference seems significant compared to a 12" radius.
I have no explanation for why this is. It could be visual as Curt says.

My Godin 5th Ave has a 16" radius and it feels fine. Not flat like a classical at all. I go back and forth from this 16" to a 12" radius on my 6120 without noticing a radius difference.

Not much I didn't like about the stock PU's they worked fine but the Gibsons really opened up the tone. I just changed them because I came across a set of Gibsons at a reasonable price and I can't help myself from fooling with my guitars :P Standard PU's are Epi's so far as I could tell but I may be wrong. Never got a straight answer from Peerless lol.

hey Rob Williams
how is the neck depth on the Peerless? is it like the 5120?
Thanks
