Vintage gent info needed

Gary Stoner
Hi Everyone, I'm new to this site and need a little help. I was told that my 60s Country Gent was 100% original, but the spec seems to conflict with other info I've found on the web. Could any experts out there confirm what's right and what's not and what year it was made.
I've tried to load photos but it wont let me, so I'll try and explain the spec....
Headstock, Plate with "The Chet Atkins Country Gentleman" no serial number, that's on the back of the headstock. Big chunky Grovers (not Imperials) I've seen these on loads of 60s gents but I can't find out the model name.
Body, Pickgard says only Gretsch. Supertron at the neck and Filtertron at bridge. Double mutes. (there's no felt grommet / washers around the mute on/off controls, should there be ? ) Space bridge ( I think it should be a Rocking bar but I have seen a black 66 gent with a space bridge ?) The master on/off or cutout switch has a black plastic switch tip, should it be the same as the other switches ?
Also can you tell me, 1. What's the model name of the Grover tuning pegs (not Imperials) big chunky and kinda square (the part you turn)
Mid 60s Filtertron pickups... are the neck and bridge Filterons the same physical size or is the neck one shallower ?
What is the typical output of the Filterons (neck and bridge)
If I wanted to change this guitar to the George Harrison spec (without any drilling or permanent mods) What would I need to do ?
HELP! - I NEED SOMEBODY - HELP! - NOT JUST ANYBODY - HELP! - YOU KNOW I NEED SOMEONE - HELP!

from whjat i know the serial number on the back of the headstock began in 1965

oh from what i am reading ,, if it says Made In USA on the back of the headstock that started in 1967

The serial number is on the back of the headstock but no "MADE IN THE USA" the number indicates it was made in 66 but it only says Gretsch on the pickgard not Country Gent and it has the double mutes....

It's better if you re-post this in the main vintage Gretsch section... no one is seeing it here. You would get all the answers you need. Looks pretty clean to me. True that serial # went from top of headstock to back in early 1965, most think .

Aside from minor cosmetics, this one looks fine. The P/G,Grover tuners,Filtertron and Supertron all look original to the era.As said before, the killswitch tip is a replacement. The mute foam is a replacement(original was black),and it would seem a previous owner removed the red felt washers on the mute levers.Nice guitar!

Please note that the felt pads should be black on this version of the Country Gent.

Drew is correct! If this is a 1966 model (with date-coded serial #), which it sounds like it is. Black felts!
