I've been on the road for this Christmas...I'm spending it in Phoenix, Arizona. The news says that it has been snowing back home, but you'd never know it from the way things look around here.
This year has been a mixed year for me, some very good, some not so good, but the best thing that sticks with me year after year is the love of family and friends that I am lucky enough to experience throughout the entire year. As we go through each of our family's Christmas routines, let's not forget to hold on tightly to those that we love, and to cherish the loving memories of those who have slipped away from us over this past year.
Each year, the ritual of exchanging gifts becomes increasingly less important, and the real meaning of Christmas...the sharing of a blessed time of year with those whom you love and care most about...becomes the much more meaningful element of the holidays.
I wish all of my fellow GDP'ers a wonderful Christmas.
