WALTZ OF THE WIND

  1. Duanes rendition is a sheer, atmospheric delight ! - Can it be taken as read, that Floyd Cramer, was tantalizingly tickling the ivories?. - But who was on sax ? - Was it Boots Randolph or was it Jim Horn ? - " Waltz Of The Wind " is the album track with the power to stir the emotions

    Jim Horn

  3. That's Floyd on piano and, I'm pretty sure, Jim Horn on sax.The Anita Kerr singers are in there too. Great track.8-)

  4. FWI, "Waltz of the Wind" was recorded on October 9, 1962, which was the same Day "Last Dance" was recorded. The latter wasn't available until 1980 when it was added to the Twenty Terrific Twangies album.

  5. Duane sure has been a prodigious worker with his guitar over the years ! - In vain I tried to " embed " the YouTube video - " Waltz Of The Wind " added to the start of this thread. Following Ric12string instructions. I wonder where I went wrong ? Perhaps a Gretsch Pager with a proficiency badge , can ride to the rescue !

  6. Apparently that was on Duane's Country Classics album? If so, that one is full of good stuff by Duane. He has indicated that it was one of his favorite projects.

I don't know how to imbed, but I can post a link:

    Waltz Of The Wind

  7. Yes, that's Floyd Cramer on piano. Jim Horn is on sax...really.
