Duane Eddy's House of Twang

The Quiet Three

A propos of not very much.....Heard this tune( the B side of "40 miles") once or twice a very long time ago, liked it,learned it, and my bands played it for quite awhile afterwards. Heard the original on YouTube yesterday and was impressed with DE's taste all over again. It's almost as if Norman Petty produced it.Did Duane ever work with him?

" The Quite Three " - Is one of those slow dreamy numbers , a flip side that was a surprise . I remember putting the 45 on my Dansette Major record player . Having played the powerful , highly catchy ' A ' side ! --- It was like Duane saying , " There is another side to me " !
