The release date now appears to be December 13.

Just double-checked Amazon - they have the MP3 download page up (at a bargain price of $9.49) but you can't actually buy it until Dec 13. I've long wondered why Amazon won't let you pre-order digital downloads, but they don't, so I just add it to a wishlist and put a reminder on my iPhone calendar.

There are a couple of very nice reviews already up there written by people who'd bought the UK edition.
