You must have been mighty proud, Deed, to have been able to see your husband up there on stage at that legendary venue with the likes of B.B. King, Liza Minelli, and James Galway. Duane definitely belongs up there.

After intermission, Rainn Wilson (The Office, Juno) took the stage to mark the “Hollywood Bowl Historic Moment” of the evening, the 50th anniversary of Rock & Roll at the Hollywood Bowl, which began 50 years ago with Duane Eddy performing “Rebel Rouser” at the Bowl as part of a Dick Clark concert. Film footage showed the great Rock & Roll moments at the Bowl that followed, like the Rolling Stones and Elton John, which prove that the Bowl is not just for classical music. Duane Eddy then took the stage to reprise “Rebel Rouser” and that great moment that changed the Bowl forever.
Needless to say, I was standing in the wings, fairly verklempt. So much going on backstage, onstage, under the stage! Such an amazingly well run show, the producers of this evening never missed a beat, and what could have been a train wreck in other hands was just a seamless and totally enjoyable experience.
Lots of cool moments...Duane and BB getting to chat after many years, watching BB explain to the great Della Reese about Duane's sound and what he's done, now that was a moment.
So, here's the finale, found on YouTube...they must have been waaaaaaay up at the top of The Bowl, but you get the idea.

The acoustics must be excellent at the Hollywood Bowl. As you say whoever recorded that was a long way from the stage, but the sound is quite good.
