If you've just listened to Duane on Jonathan Ross's radio show you will know that Duane will be playing a few dates in the Autumn here in the UK, including an appearance on Jools' Later.
Looking forward to that!

Wish Duane was playing Bristol!
Just had an email from a friend saying the same. Deke, we must not miss this!
Listen to the interview here (may not possible outside the UK unless you use a UK based ISP):- http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00sqf7t/Jonathan_Ross_12_06_2010/ at 2:40:20-ish.
Festival Hall, London, mentioned.
Duane & Deed - welcome to the old country, may your time here be pleasant and your journey home be safe.
Very good Duane interview today on Jonathan Ross' BBC Radio Two Saturday morning show — some great stories. Thankfully, Ross seems to have left behind much of his self-promoting facetiousness and the programme was all the better for it — really excellent.
The autumn UK tour dates will be 'musts', particularly the Festival Hall.
Duane (and Deed) was in the UK for the annual Mojo (magazine) awards. Duane was awarded "Mojo Musical Icon" - well deserved, too!
Pic of Duane and Richard Thompson here:- http://www.mojo4music.com/blog/2010/06/red_carpet_gallery_honours_lis.html
Edit: apologies for repeating what was on another thread.
Rich, I was able to listen to the BBC broadcast. Duane comes on at about 2:40:24. It was a good interview. They played a version of Rebel Rouser. Duane told a cool story about swapping guitars with Buddy Holly backstage one time.
Glad it worked, Richard: the BBC is a bit funny about non UK access to some of its iPlayer material.
That version of Rebel Rouser was in stereo and not the original: I wonder whence it came?
It was suggested in the interview that Duane is celebrating the 50th anniversary of his first UK tour by visiting us in October. As one who went to one of those 1960 gigs I can't wait.
Another interview:- http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b00sn68q/Loose_Ends_12_06_2010/ at about 12:40 in.
The guy who put me on to this is a friend who now lives in Spain. I mentioned here, a while back, that this guy not only helped Duane & band cart their gear to a train station after a UK gig ('63, I think) but also stayed on the station with them chatting until the, delayed, train arrived to take them on. Deed said Duane remembered this episode.
This same guy has just emailed me this:- "Y'know...Duane doesn't seem to have changed a bit from those early days when he had to catch a train home from a gig!!! He doesn't just deserve recognition for his music....he should be receiving humanity awards! So many other so-called 'stars' could learn from him."
Sums it up, I think.
Can't wait !!
Hope Duane remembers which train to catch to Newcastle
It's been to long since Duane played some concerts over hear.
Looking forward to the autumn
Dick
