Only snag is it was in 1960

Bet it was a great show though!!

2

Anybody got a DeLorean with flux capicitors?

5

Well lets go off on a tangent . " Fairgrounds Auditorium ", hey I remember a picture in " Twangsville " some years ago with Duane driving a Dodgem Car at a fairground in the UK. That actually had Duane Eddy written on it !

6

As a Eugenean I got all excited for a moment.

7

You also have to remember that in 1960, minimum wage was probably less than 50 cents an hour.

8

Good memory Les - I'm fairly certain that it was "Carters" rides but will I ever manage to find the photo???

Could only see Fats Domino !

Carter's Stream Fair. Chiswick, 1991, with Sir Peter Blake, his wife Chrissy, and their daughter Rose. I have photos but they are hiding somewhere...

If Carter's comes to a fairgrounds near you, please go. It is a magical experience, the music is blasting Rock and Roll, and you will have an unforgettable day.

12

Deed and Arthur , just an aside, their dodgems were made in my home town , Warwick . By a company called Super Car . They specialised in making fairground equipment !

13

Quality not good , but at least it keeps the thread going !

14

Turned our house upside down , to find pictures !

15

Forty miles of bump roads, Carters are local to me here in Berkshire Uk, they have the fair every year at various festivals locally, good excuse for me to get in the Duane with a grandson or two maybe.

16

I'm always on the lookout for vintage posters and press...US, UK, Australia.

21

I don't have a poster to show, but I came across this photo of Duane with Ry Cooder and Hal Blaine, 1983?

22
