Editing Drums

Hey all,

Just wanted to share with you an article I've found super-useful. If you've ever struggled with editing drum recordings (as I have), then check out this step by step guide to drum editing.

I'm sure you'll find it useful! Anyone got any other drum editing tips to share?

I remember being really bummed out when I was hired as a session drummer and played a great feeling drum track and then the engineer proceeded to edit my take to the Pro-Tools grid and made my track sound like a drum machine.

I understand needing the drums to be perfectly aligned if it is for a score, a bumper, a commercial or a movie trailer but this was for a rock song.

I think technology should enhance a performance, not be the performance.
