DeArmonds & String types

  1. Billy,

I would be interested to hear your views on what type of strings work well with vintage DeArmond Dynasonic pickups.

  2. Anything nickel, like Fender original 150's or GHS Nickel Rockers. Don't use any of the newer high output heavy Metal strings like Boomers, or anything stainless. Just stay with regular old fashioned strings.

  3. Billy,

    Thanks for your thoughts.

I am on the right track then as I use Pyramid Nickel Classics on my Duo Jet 'Cat Man' reissue.

  4. What size of Fender 150's do you prefer Billy?

  5. .010"-.046"
Those were considered heavy strings thirty years ago. I use .011's on my acoustic.

  6. Thanks again Billy! Look forward to seeing you when you and X come out to the East Coast soon ...
