Prizes?

I am assuming at this point that we may not receive these items. It has been 7 months now, and I think all of us awaiting these things have been more than patient. I know Gretsch is very generous with their giveaways at roundups throughout the year and with helping owners experiencing issues with their guitars. However, the lack of updates provided by those managing this contest is disappointing and to me is not good 'customer service.' I know these items were offered up as a phenomenal goodwill gesture by Gretsch guitars and we should (and will) be grateful for them if they are indeed shipped at some point. Really, it doesn't matter to me either way- I don't need another guitar and will remain a Gretsch devotee regardless. Perhaps this experience is evidence that remote giveaways just do not work, and should be limited to roundups.

Well, instead of posting our dilmna here, I sent out a couple of polite emails to places where something may happen, maybe. Now, it's time to play the waiting game, oh wait, I was already doing that.

You are all part of a social experiment.

I sent Joe C an email in June. No response.

ya'll know proteus is the prize-meister, right? And he's been a bit laid up, as alluded to in my post above.

I suspect most of you "winners" cheated, and have demanded an investigation.
That's probably what's causing the delay.

Thanks Bax. If P continues to be laid up then that's a totally reasonable explanation (but SOMEBODY get over to help that man!
). I just was hoping for an update on that front.
Also playing an outdoor show tomorrow where that Rancher would really been useful (cough)

P is still absent from the GDP. Hope he is recovering.
Can I help with this (other than crossing fingers for him)? If so, how?
-
Geoff Vane
No.

I spoke to Tim on the phone yesterday and he is on the mend but not 100% yet. He has so much on his plate, the task looks insurmountable but he will come through; he always does.

Maybe there should be a back-up person to handle these things, in case problems arise?
I'd pretty much forgotten about winning one of the personally autographed DE posters, until I was playing "The Trembler" the other day.

There's a few of us over in the UK waiting for our "wins". Any information anybody can share would be appreciated greatly.
I don't know you Proteus but I wish you well & hope that you make a full recovery from your health problems
