Patience pays off unless Proteus lost the winners list .

I wouldn't give up on this, but I also wouldn't be camped out by my mailbox awaiting the swag's arrival. There are very few people involved in the "prize fulfillment department", so it does take some time. I don't think that I have ever heard of someone simply not getting any of the swag that they won, so have faith.

And Proteus has had one or two distractions of late...

So I am indeed being patient, and only bugging the mailman twice a week these days.

Of course, I'm also waiting for a small piece of recording hardware that cleared customs over three weeks back but for some reason hasn't made it to my door, either.

I don't think he actually lost the list, but rather hasn't forwarded it to the appropriate "authorities" yet.

But, yes, it does indeed seem to take forever & a day (like the last contest where I won something). For it, I'd pretty much forgotten all about it.

Hopefully, this isn't going to be a repeat of that instance. Apparently Proteus has been having some problems, that are interfering with getting this latest batch done.

I don't know that I'd say I'm "having problems," which sounds like Euphemish for "gone mental/spun out/otherwise lost it". As far as I know I'm no worse off in those departments than I've always been.

But it is a fact that I haven't simply forwarded the list of winners to Joe, and there's no good excuse for that. Just one thing after another - or rather, one thing overlapping another - and when I get down time, I tend just to...shut down.

I will get this done, and soon.

Be assured that "we" have an accurate winnerlist, and you will get your stuff.

Nothing that I won. I had bought a couple of guitars from Joel....new Gretschs. The first one he didn't even send to me because it had some quality control issues. The second one he was hesitant about sending to me because of quality control issues, but not as bad as the first. I did try to overlook some intensive rattling just couldn't shake it.. couldn't trace it down..neither could Joel. I still wonder what the hell it could of been. Others here on this site had the same problem with that model of guitar and had returned them also.. It was stated that Joe/Gretch/Fender would be sending schwag for any inconvenience on my part. I think the return shippin was $50.00 or so...I ain't sure. Not really a big deal I reckon...but after a $2800.00 purchase that went sour there was just no feeling of Gretsch love...
