That's the same site at www.beatwear.co.uk it's the same store. They've got the best looking boots, if you're after the authentic look.
Any feelings on wearing Khakis and tennis shoes-white ones? I was always taught in a professional setting even on a casual Friday that you don't wear white tennis shoes with Khaki pants. I'm not talking about "cargo" pants in which my manliness would not be inserted. Pressed trousers I bespeak of. There a few guys who work with me that dress like this. Dear Abby, am I being unrealistic? Signed, Pressed off.
BigJim, I think it is alright if you are (1) in thar barrios of East Los Angeles; or (2) in prison. Other than that I don't think it is appropriate to wear khakis with white tennis shoes.
LOL -that was a winner! But, seriously, I must agree.
Chonny, that is the funniest webpage I have seen... i knew I was on to soemthing. Why is it that all my original good ideas have already been done... damnit.

Unless you're in a nursing home, this is not acceptable. Especially not in a world where there are Rockports and other comfortable dress shoes.
Chonny, that hat would be hilarious, except for the fact that I know people who would actually wear it.
Nothing says 'dork' quicker than khakis and white tennis shoes. Then of course you have the fitness 'dorks' with the tapered khakis and running shoes.
L-A-M-E....
I think DEVO are sporting those new "energy ball and fishing caps" on their tour! Are we not men????
Dear GDP Grooming Collective,
Is it okay to wear brown shoes with a black coat?
Sincerely, Unmatched in Massachusetts
(Speaking of which, Old Brown Shoe is one of my fave Fabs' B-sides. Love that guitar solo!)
Brown is the new black. As long at the brown shoes are dark enough, you can mix the colors.
As bonedaddy said, yep. Currently I am wearing blue pinstriped suit, oxblood belt and matching shows... and I learned something new with regard to pompadours... if you blow dry your hair first (you have to do this bending over so that hair is sticky straight outta ya head) you can get your pomp all that much higher. It is really a substantial improvement in pompatude.
But will old brown shoes go with George's Country Gent that he painted black?
Of course, provided that he does not wear a black belt. YOur belt has to match your shoes, that is essential. I wear black boot with any color guitar that I happen to be playing.
Now just don't wear your belt with your suspenders, that's what I'm a sayin'.
Dear Unmatched,
It is my PERSONAL PREFERENCE never to wear a black jacket with brown shoes or vice versa. However, your jacket (overcoat or windbreaker, not suit or sport jacket) isn't really considered part of your outfit, so you CAN do it.
Even if I'm wearing by belt around my head?
Well now, of course, that's different Jimbo and an accompanying lampshade adds just the right touch of flair.

Forget Randy Newman - we're talking IGGY POP !
And as for duct tape, it has nothing to do with color (I have clear). True duct tape has a heat rating such that it can wrap HEATING DUCTS and not melt or start on fire.
I use duct tape to line the back panels of my amps, so that the wood and tolex/tweed don't poorly react to the heat from the tubes.
Just not too tight, as not to cut of your circulation. Wait, never mind.

DEVO IS ON TOUR ?? If not, don't toy with my emotions like that.
Ole Brown Shoe may be my favorite Beatles song.
Hole in my Shoe is my favorite Traffic song.
Actually DEVO was in Austin at SXSW last week tho I never heard the review. Mothersbaugh and Casale at least. Last time I saw 'em was in '82 and have always thought they were thru being cool! Yuk-Yuk-Yuk.
Oh, JeffO, as an aside, I came nano-close to buying a radiation suit back in the day and joining the fan club, but didn't and I'll always regret it.
So, it's to be those guys for review next in the GGS is it.. YAYAH
